Luminosity Calculated from the Beam's Distribution Function =========================================================== Calculation of the Luminosity including crossing angles, bunches not colliding in the longitudinal or transverse center of the IR and including the effect of energy spread and errors causing the enlargement of the beam size in the IP. This would use "known" distributions of the beam's density in all 6 phase space coordinates of the beam. The project would include creating the code in Fortran 90 and performing a large number of simulations. It is essential that the student know something about programming in a high level language (preferably FORTRAN).
