Dear low-emittance enthusiast,
The results on the successful horizontal dispersion correction using
non-sc quads shown in
last week's Low-Emittance Tuning meeting evoked a few questions which I
will address
in this message and in today's LET meeting.
1) What does SHOW QUAD show after the correction? Where do the
quad values go relative to the design and save set values?
First, as a reminder, here is the cesrv optimizer output for the correction.
Remember that since we have no phase measurement, we are constraining the
phase to the design phase while correcting the dispersion.
The (rather arbitrary) weights are:
set orbit_x_wgt(0:99)=0
set orbit_y_wgt(0:99)=0
set eta_x_wgt(0:99)=0.
set eta_x_wgt(15:40)=2.
set eta_y_wgt(0:99)=0
set phase_x_wgt(15:40)=2.
set phase_y_wgt(0:99)=2.

2) Is it possible to perform the correction when restricting the quad
adjustments
to the region Q10W to Q34W?
