Magnetometer

In vacuum magnetometer

In vacuum faraday magnetometer for measuring the kicker field in situ. Laser light passes twice through the crystal
The crystal and holder can be rotated out of the path of the beam and the trolley and then back to vertical orientation outside the gap for measurement during run.
Assembled on vacuum chamber flange
Laser, polarizer, analyzer and amplifier

Single pass prototype magnetometer

The faraday magnetormeter used to measure the kicker field at Cornell.
The laser was mounted above the chamber and light passed through a hole through the crystal that was fixed in the kicker gap. Relative polarization was analyzed with a Wollaston prisim.
