SAXS @ D-line: Procedures
Switch to CCD
mode
- move beamstop into the beam > mv bsx 0; mv bsz 0; wbs
- verify that beamstop is in the beam : Idet counts should be small
- close shutter > shclose
- check: Imon counts should be small
- enable ccd macros > ccdon
- go into hutch and remove ion chamber
- move CCD flush against marker clamp trying to avoid angular offset
- interlock hutch, enable and open garage door
- take a test image for 0.1 sec > corr 1
0.1
- if necessary, finetune beamstop position
- move bsx or bsz in steps of 0.1 mm and
take test image > corr 1 0.1
Take direct
beam image (if necessary)
- go into hutch and attach absorber (lead tape @ 10 keV) to
entrance of flight path
- interlock hutch and open garage door
- move beam stop out of the way > mv bsx 2
- TAKE TEST IMAGE > corr 1 0.1
- if image okay (all dark), try 1 sec and then 10sec exposure
- move beamstop back in > mv bsx 0
- go into hutch and remove absorber
Switch to
Line-up Mode
- disable garage door (switch on controller)
- disable ccd macros > ccdoff
- go into hutch, move CCD back, put ion chamber in and change
samples
- interlock hutch and open CCD shutter > shopen
- new data file > newfile [sample name]
- direct beam line-up
- move beamstop out > wbs; mv bsx 2
- move sample to ZERO position > wsam; mv sx 0
- scan sample through beam > dscan samx -19 19 76 1
- note sx positions with promising absorption to take images there
- beamstop line-up (if needed)
- > dscan bsx -3 3 30 1
- move bsx to the center of the blocked area using the numerical
scan output
- > dscan bsz -3 3 30 1
- move bsz to the center of the blocked area using the numerical
scan output
( note: after ">" follows the spec command, as it is
typed in )
