⁷Logos (Greek: “word”): 1) a term in ancient Greek philosophy, which initially meant unity of word and meaning; 2) in Christianity: a designation of Jesus Christ as the second Person of the Trinity. The Christian concept of the Logos goes back to the opening words of John’s Gospel: “In the beginning was the Word.”
