⁶⁴2 Cor 2:1–8. Some commentators believe that by “the person who caused grief” the apostle meant the man from the incestuous marriage (1 Cor 5:1). Yet from the meaning of these words, it is more likely that Paul was referring to another man who personally insulted him.
