Elog Notes

In [cesr.elog.com], elog.com gives the main menu and picks the editor via elog_edit_menu.com. Next elog_entry.com is called. Here a time stamp is obtained, and an entry file is created in the [cesr.elog.scr] area from elog_blank.com. The editor is then opened with an [cesr.elog.ini]elogini default initialization. Gold key definitions are defined in this ini file. Once the editor is finished, control returns mid-stream to elog_entry, which asks for confirmation on posting as well as choices for re-entering and condensing the message. Elog_entry then mails the entry to cesr29::elog. Images that are included in an entry get processed with [cesr.elog.com]hyper_image.com which sends a separate email to cesr29::elog. When the image arrives it is processed by [cesr.elog.com]in_image_copy.com

On cesr29, elog has a file [elog]mail.delivery that allows filtering on incoming messages and issue commands to be processed. With normal entries, the command processed is to run [cesr.elog.com]elog_incoming.com. This generates a new file with a time stamp: [cesr.elog.scr]term_*.html. It removes the mail program header with [cesr.elog.com]head_remove.com, appends the entry to the current day's file, and sends out attention emails.
