More specifics for each program will be coming as soon as time permits.
It seems the best way for other users to run these programs is soft link to them from their ~/bin directory and then rehash.
New additions are in red.
Programs with updated information are in green.
| Program Name | Location | Description |
|---|---|---|
| reflex | /nfs/cesr/user/mjf7/software/reflex/reflex | This program looks at the worst constraints after a period of running bmadz, and attempts to bracket the location of the worst constraint with elements for the next round of optimization. |
| cruel | /nfs/cesr/user/mjf7/software/reflex/cruel | Cruel is the same as reflex, but it ignores bmadz errors and immediately restarts. This is not really recommended... |
| rake | /nfs/cesr/user/mjf7/software/reflex/rake/rake | This program divides a ring into segments and then lets you specify the order to use the segments for optimizing with bmadz. |
| latcheck | /home/mjf7/bin/latcheck | This program checks the output from bmadz against a validation file and separates the constraints into categories based on whether the constraint is within tolerance. |
| Program Name | Location | Description |
|---|---|---|
| insert_new_sexts | /nfs/cesr/user/mjf7/software/perl/insert_new_sexts | This program will take the generated sextupoles in opt_sextupoles.dat and put them into new_bmad_input. with a time comment. |
| latdoc | /nfs/cesr/user/mjf7/software/perl/latdoc | This program automatically inserts standardized documentation into a lattice file. Now calls latarchive to automatically save the lat file. |
| avg_sexts | /nfs/cesr/user/mjf7/software/perl/avg_sexts | This program gets sextupole pair strengths and assigns both members of the pair the average strength. |
| overlay_sexts | /nfs/cesr/user/mjf7/software/perl/overlay_sexts | This program gets sextupole pair strengths, and assigns the average strength to an overlay it creates. |
| split_sexts | /nfs/cesr/user/mjf7/software/perl/split_sexts | This program splits standard sextupole overlays into individual sextupoles. |
| remove_overlays | /nfs/cesr/user/mjf7/software/perl/remove_overlays | Split and comment out standard overlays in a lattice file. |
| latarchive | /nfs/cesr/user/mjf7/software/perl/latarchive | Save the given lattice in file with the date and time in the filename. Assumes new_bmad_input. if no name is given. |
| latclean | /nfs/cesr/user/mjf7/software/perl/latclean | Clean up the archived lattices leaving only the last lattice archived on any particular day. |
| Program Name | Location | Description |
|---|---|---|
| move_constraints | /nfs/cesr/user/mjf7/software/perl/move_constraints | move_constraints cons_source.in cons_destination.in moves the constraints from one bmadz constraint file to another while leaving the variables and "single variables" alone. |
| move_singles | /nfs/cesr/user/mjf7/software/perl/move_singles | move_singles cons_source.in cons_destination.in moves the "single variables" from one bmadz constraint file to another while leaving the variables and constraint list alone. |
| move_vars | /nfs/cesr/user/mjf7/software/perl/move_vars | move_vars cons_source.in cons_destination.in moves the variables in the use_list from one bmadz constraint file to another while leaving the constraint list and "single variables" alone. |
| Program Name | Location | Description |
|---|---|---|
| type_curlyh_info | /home/mjf7/bin/type_curlyh_info | This program creates a file with all the relavant information to get curly H. |
| pdlchall | /nfs/cesr/user/mjf7/software/perl/pdlchall | This program plots curly H around the ring using the file generated by type_curlyh_info. |
