Transportation between campus and the hotels
There are several ways to travel between the hotels (downtown) and campus.- City buses, operated by Tompkins Consolidated Area Transit (TCAT), run regularly between campus and downtown. In particular, Route 10 runs every 10 minutes from the bus stop at the corner of Tioga and Seneca Streets to a stop across from the Physical Sciences Building, and back (it's a loop). Bus fare is $1.50.
- Walking takes 30 to 40 minutes depending on the hotel, and thanks to Ithaca's hill, gets your heart rate up. There is a pleasant footpath along Cascadilla Park Road, or, for those with slightly more time, a lovely trail through Cascadilla Gorge starting in Treman Triangle Park (near Court St. and University Ave.) and ending near the intersection of College and Oak Avenues.
- Paid parking is available on campus. One may pay online using Parkmobile to park in the lots shown on the Parkmobile map (you must register with the Parkmobile service to do this), or you may purchase a visitor parking permit ($10/day) at one of the visitor information booths near the main campus entrances. Visitor permits are valid in the Hoy Road garage, which is a 10 minute walk from the meeting venue.
