Prepare a 20-30 minute lecture on one of the following (or some other quantum mechanical topic) to be delivered to the class
- Adiabatic Approximation and Berry Phase - Holstein . Describe something interesting from Holstein's paper, ie. Explain the adiabatic approximation and an example of Berry's phase. (See also Griffiths QM, and Sakurai QM)
- Demonstration of Casimir effect - How is the Casimir effect measured?
- Gravitational Casimir effect - Gravitational Casimir effect, James Q. Quach Explain
- Deutsch algorithm - Describe a physically realizable CNOT gate
