CLASSE Visual Identity
Our language is what we say. Our visual identity is how we say it. Everything from our wordmark to our photography expresses who we are as a distinct institution and community — established, purposeful, and ambitious. Follow these guidelines to consistently apply this expression across all our communications.
On this page you'll find a downloadable CLASSE Logo, the CLASSE color pallet, and Typography guidelines for use in your projects. If your looking for templates to use for email communications, PowerPoint presentations, and scientific posters head to the Templates page. If you're in need of further guidance please reach out to Andy Noyes - CLASSE Marketing and Communications - at abn48@cornell.edu
The CLASSE Logo
To best represent CLASSE we recomend using the following logo that abides by Cornell University brand guidelines.
The Best Option is SVG
When applicable you should download and use the SVG (Scalable Vector Graphic) logo in your projects. This type of file can be infinitely scaled up or down without loss of resolution. Most current software applications are able to use this file type but if not, the PNG files are suitable. Please contact us if you’re having any issues.
Ensure Sufficient Contrast
Make sure that the logo has sufficient contrast and is legible against its background. To do so, utilize the different color options available.
SVG: Red | Dark Grey | White
PNG: Red | Dark Grey | White

Typography
Clean, well-spaced typography is what distinguishes professional print and digital communications.
Serif Typeface: PALATINO. Palatino is the primary serif typeface for CLASSE and Cornell University. It appears on the CLASSE logo and the Cornell logo and embodies the tradition of the university.
Sans-Serif Typeface: Freight Sans Pro. Freight Sans is a sans serif typeface that allows a more contemporary personality. This font comes in a variety of weights and styles and is easily legible on screen. The heavier weights bring a bold statment to headline copy.
