Hughes Hall
Hughes Hall, a Cornell dorm, is a block from the meeting venues, and a stone's throw from the shops and eateries of Collegetown, Cornell's student neighborhood. The rooms are arranged in suites, each consisting of a short hallway with two to five single rooms (occupied by other Workshop participants) and a shared bathroom. Housekeeping is provided. The cost is $41 per night plus a one-time fee of $20, which provides access to Cornell facilities, including libraries and athletic facilities. Hughes Hall registration is here. The deadline for Hughes Hall registration has been extended to July 7.To get there, take Route 366 South when it branches off Route 13, a few miles east of Ithaca. Follow Route 366 for about 5 miles. Then, go straight onto Hoy Road, entering the Cornell campus, at a traffic light where Route 366 bends left. At the stop sign, turn left onto Campus Road. The parking lot is the first left after the intersection with a traffic light. Enter the building under the arches at the far end of the lot.
If you arrive outside the hours of 8 PM to midnight on Saturday, July 12, check-in will be at the desk located on the first floor of the Robert Purcell Community Center (hours: 8am to 11pm, 7 days a week.) To get to there, follow Route 13 South, then, at a traffic light turn left onto Warren Road. (Warren Road is the location of the Ithaca airport. If you're coming from the Ithaca airport, take Brown Road to exit the airport and then turn left onto Warren Road at the light.) Follow Warren Road till it ends at a "T" with a stop sign. Turn right onto Forest Home. At the stop sign, go straight onto Pleasant Grove (up hill). Take the first left, onto Jessup Road, and then the second left to reach the Community Center.
Super 8

The rate is $89.10/night on weekends and $68.29 on weeknights. Shuttle bus service will be provided up to Cornell in the morning and back again at the end of the day. If you choose to drive, you'll need a permit to park on campus.
To get there, travel through Ithaca on Route 13 South. Just after the north and south components of Route 13 recombine you go over a bridge. The Super 8 is on the right immediately after the bridge.
Holiday Inn
222 South Cayuga St, Ithaca. (800)465-4329 (say that you're with the "Linear Collider Workshop").The Holiday Inn is located a block from the "Commons", the pedestrian mall at the heart of downtown Ithaca. You may walk to the meeting venues -- it takes 30-35 minutes up a rather healthy hill (500 foot vertical). Try the beautiful Cascadilla Glen Trail. Shuttle bus service is also available. If you drive, you'll need to get a permit to park on campus. The hotel provides complementary shuttle service to the Tompkins County (Ithaca) airport. The cost is $99.90 for a double, $199.99 for king in a nicer part of the building.
To get there, travel on Route 13 South to Ithaca. About five blocks 13 North and 13 South divide, turn left onto Green Street (Route 79 East). Go about six blocks and turn right onto Cayuga Street. The hotel will be about 1 1/2 blocks ahead on the right.
EconoLodge

To get there, take Route 13 South to the Triphammer Rd exit. Turn right off the ramp, and take the next right into the shopping mall. You'll see the EconoLodge at the far right hand end.
Comfort Inn

To get there, travel through Ithaca on Route 13 South, and, when you reach the fast food strip look for Wick's Lumber on the right. The Comfort Inn is next door.
