CORNELL LABORATORY FOR ACCELERATOR-BASED SCIENCES AND EDUCATION

The Fondue Family

Fondue is a computer code that models a disk of material such as superconducting niobium. It computes the time dependent heat flow in the disk subject to user specified heat sources at the top of the disk and a conducting boundary at the bottom (often a liquid helium bath). Fondue can evolve in time the radio frequency magnetic field at the top surface to simulate a superconducting rf cavity.
